After the first run of ballots tabulated by the Guam Election Commission at Election Central at the Guam Community College, the races are starting to take shape. 8 of the 54 island's precincts have now been counted, with precincts in Hagatna, Asan, Mongmong and Yona having been completed.

And so far, former senator B.J. Cruz is sitting pretty with 39% of the vote for the senatorial race, trailed by Republican Telo Taitague and then fellow Democrat Tom Ada. In the Prop 'A' race, the numbers that are against slot machine gaming at the Guam Greyhound park almost double the amount of votes for that initiative.
