Students from the University of Guam conducted an exit poll at the island's various polling stations during today's special election. The effort sought to gauge an early opinion at how the voting might finish for Super Saturday prior to official tabulation by the Guam Election Commission. But enough with semantics...who won?

According to UOG's projections, Democrat candidate B.J. Cruz will be returning to the hallowed halls of the Guam Legislature, earning more than 45% of the vote. As far as the controversial Prop 'A' initiative, indications are that more than two-thirds of voters voted against allowing slot machine gaming at the Guam Greyhound Race Park.

A sample population of as many as 520 registered voters participated in the exit poll.

Senatorial Race (rounded percentages)
B.J. Cruz: 45.5%
Telo Taitague: 32%
Tom Ada: 23%

Prop "A"
No: 68%
Yes: 32%
