When it all came down to it, guts and the desire to be the best allowed two local realtors to outlast a pair of outstanding military wives with Golden State roots who wouldn't quit. Roland Dela Cruz and Glenn Biscoe, who chose the team name Lalahen Guahan ("Sons of Guam") narrowly beat out tough competition from the Cali Girls, Nikki Straky and Kristen Bemis, with a last-minute surge in racing across picturesque East Hagatna Bay to Sleepy Lagoon. This made for a thrilling conclusion in the third and final episode of the Guamazing Race. For their diligence, wit and endurance over more than twelve grueling hours of competition that saw them outlast nine other worthy teams, Lalahen Guahan wins the grand prize of $10,000 and the dubious distinction of being the island's first reality show winners. And make sure to tune into KUAM-TV8 tonight at 6:30 and again at 10 (and tomorrow on our KUAM News Extra YouTube channel) for the Guamazing Race Reunion Show, hosted by John Davis. We'll get caught up with the teams and get their thoughts and reactions on what was one of the most memorable days of their lives...and maybe even get a sneak peek at next year's event.Watch Episode 3 of The Guamazing Race in streaming videoStream or download all three episodes of The Guamazing Race on Google VideoFind out more about the teams in The Guamazing RaceMeet Lalahen GuahanMeet the Cali GirlsKUAM News Extra YouTube channel
