At KUAM.com, it's important for us to stay on the cutting edge. More importantly, it's of critical concern that we provide you with free tools and utilities to navigate through our content and around our site. One such type of enhanced access we've been working on for some time has been access to our news on your computer's desktop...without you even having to be on KUAM.com. This is the core of KUAM's online advantage: constant connectivity.

Over the last decade we've filled your bookmarks with countless URLs, have infiltrated your inbox and have even found our way into your mobile phones, too. Now, we want a permanent place on your PC. Here's how - KUAM Desktop.

Our IE toolbar is a free plugin for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later for Windows that puts a whole lot of powerful tools right at your fingertips. You can look up all of the stories in KUAM Search, read the very latest headlines on KUAM.com in our newsticker, get breaking news sent straight to you, upload images to Familiar Faces with a single click, jump to your favorite areas of KUAM.com, and download free news, sports, musical performances, and more in our video gallery. (And yes, webheads, a Firefox version and a version for Mac OS are coming soon.)

Since these tools are getting more and more advanced, we're always looking for people willing to try, criticize and comment on our latest projects, as part of our KUAM.com Beta Community. We'll keep building stuff if you're willing to try and break it. If you'd like to be a member, e-mail me and you'll be included in a select group of web users who get to use our latest creations before anyone else does.

But for now, enjoy the IE Toolbar as the inaugural tool from KUAM Desktop, and look out for new innovations coming out very soon! Also, make sure to check out our News Widgets page and discover other web-based tools you can use to access, search and share KUAM News information.

Happy surfing!
