While the Port Authority of Guam awaits approval of two separate loans to purchase a new gantry crane, the agency has issued a multi-stepped bid invitation to replace the old gantry cranes on its docks. In the meantime, a three-member team from the Port who recently inspected of a mobile harbor crane in Singapore is back on Guam and report the crane is in good condition.

The crane will be used as an interim replacement crane for Gantry Crane 1, which was decommissioned this past March.
