Dressed in a pink long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, the owner of Alindog Karaoke Lounge appeared in the District Court today. Zenaida Reyes (aka, "Heidi") pleaded not guilty to racketeering, visa fraud, and bribery charges handed down in an indictment late Wednesday afternoon. She's accused of bribing a U.S. Embassy official in the Philippines while attempting to bring in nine female Philippine nationals to work at her bar allegedly in violation of the visas they had applied for.

Trial is scheduled to begin on November 1 and Reyes remains on release conditions. Her passport was turned over to the U.S. Probation Office.
