Guam/Hawaii collaborating on spotting bird flu

Guam's Department of Agriculture has officially teamed up with Hawaii to step-up efforts to detect Avian Influenza in the local wild bird population. Guam's territorial veterinarian Tom Poole says our local fish and wildlife agency is currently prepping for the new wild bird monitoring program as part of the USDA's efforts to combat the highly contagious bird flu around the world.

Federal funds from the Department of the Interior will be used to help Guam with it monitoring process.
