GMH submits FY2007 budget request
The Guam Memorial Hospital appeared before the Legislative Committee on Finance & Taxation last night for it's budget hearing, with the agency asking for a little over $20 million in subsidies. According to Committee chairman Senator Eddie Baza Calvo (R), among the questions asked of the Hospital were its attempts at improving it's collections of accounts receivables and the status of its private management contract, which is mandated by law.
As for collections the senator says GMH has strengthened and improved it's efforts in collecting from insurance companies, but still has some ways to go in collecting from other areas. Calvo adds GMH will most likely receive all of the money they are requesting for Fiscal Year 2007.
