A delegation of seventeen officials and professional associates of the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation will visit Guam this week. The group's tour commemorates the arrival of over 150,000 Vietnamese refugees on Guam thirty-one years ago during Operation New Life and Operation Baby Lift.

Organizer Sonny Ada highlights one of the goals of the visit, telling KUAM News its purpose is "to say thank you to Guam for its compassion and support during Operation New Life and Operation Baby Lift back in 1975 because there's really been no thank you to the people of Guam."

The delegation is also here to receive a collection of photos and documents from that time to be added to the VAHF archives at Texas Tech University and added to their web site for use for researchers and future generations of Vietnamese Americans.
