Last week I told you about a new broadband service we're debuting. We've been hammering out the intricacies of our new content delivery format, and after much testing with our KUAM Labs Beta Community over the last few weeks, our new video podcasts are ready to go!
Our new vidcasts/vodcasts let you download free Guam news, entertainment and information anytime to take with you and playback on your portable media device. The best thing is that if you already subscribe to our RSS feed, you won't have to do anything special - you'll already have the content. Just download, sit back and enjoy!
For the first run, we're giving you a grab-bag of free video to download, transfer onto your video-enabled iPod, PSP or other media player. You get our award-winning newscasts, Sonya Artero's interviews with U.S. Attorney Lenny Rapadas discussing family violence, and epidemiologist Dr. George O'Leary talking about the Avian Bird Flu. We also give you the rundown of local and national sports with JockTalk, and the latest from the teen scene with KUAM's youth news team, The Beat. And a special bonus track: the top skits from The Malafunkshun TV Show.
You'll also continue to get exclusive access to stuff you won't find anywhere else, like extended interviews and behind the scenes footage of the latest island events. It's really cool and totally free.
If you don't subscribe yet, you're missing out. All you need is to do is plug our RSS feed's URL (below) into your podcatcher client (iTunes 6, iPodder, iPodderX, etc.), and it'll do the rest. Whenever we publish new content, you'll get it automatically.
Here's the link you'll need to plug into your third-party aggregator application: http://www.kuam.com/archives/podcasts/news.xml
Click here to listen to our introduction to vidcasting, and remember to check out all of our RSS feeds. We'll also have our vidcasts soon available for mobile phones. I hope you enjoy taking your favorite KUAM content with you!
