The Guam Police Department was called to investigate a bomb threat made to the District Court in Anigua. Guam homeland security advisor Frank Blas, Jr. says a man walked into the District Court this afternoon claming he had a bomb inside his car, which was parked outside the courthouse.

The man was taken into custody by police and interviewed, while Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal units and the Guam International Airport Authority's K-9 dogs were at the scene trying to clear the area. Blas says EOD units were extracting the door of the vehicle with mechanical devices to determine if there was a bomb inside. There have been negative findings so far.

As of 5pm today the roads had been reopened, and EOD was moving the vehicle to location to continue the search for any alleged bomb.

Guam Police Department spokesperson Joe Carbullido says Norberto Fergurgur Quinata was arrested on charges of terroristic conduct, obstruction of government operations and disorderly conduct. The 52-year-old was placed behind bars.
