As police and the U.S. Secret Service investigate the source of counterfeit money being passed around on the island, officers with the Guam Police Department's Agat Precinct arrested a Santa Rita man for fraud. Sergeant Elmer Sardoma says early this morning police were called to the Mobil Gas Station in Agat, where a cashier stopped a man attempting to use counterfeit dollar bills to pay for cigarettes.

Police arrested Francisco Solivio Belmes on fraud charges. A minor was also taken into police custody. Sergeant Sardoma says police confiscated 91 $1 bills that were determined to be counterfeit.

Belmes told police he received the money from a cockfight.
