Today was Day 4 in Recount 2004. The Guam Election Commission spent this morning counting the mayoral votes in Santa Rita's two voting precincts, and determined that there are no changes to the outcome of that race, where incumbent Republican Joseph Wesley picked up the win.

This afternoon the recount moved to the senatorial race in Santa Rita. While both Democrat Ben Pangelinan and Republican Joanne Brown picked up votes, after the southern village's votes were re-tallied, Senator Brown still was ahead by 10 votes to hold onto the Legislature's 15th seat.

Currently the GEC is working on recounting the results from Umatac's single precinct. Including Umatac, the GEC has only counted 9 of Guam's 53 precincts.
