Are you ready for the ultimate adventure? The Guamazing Race 2 takes over Guam this May and we're looking for dynamic teams of two to put their wit and skill to the test for a chance to win thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. If you're up to the challenge then grab a teammate, and head down to the Guamazing Race 2 casting call on Friday, April 18 between 6pm to midnight at Horse & Cow in Tamuning, and on Saturday, April 19, from 11am-4pm at the Guam Premiere Outlets in Tamuning. Both teammembers must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

Guamazing Race fans, now you can be part of the production process! Come up with your Guamazing Race task, submit it by e-mailing us and if you're task is chosen, you'll have the opportunity to appear on the upcoming season of the Guamazing Race. Tasks must be either:
Roadblocks - a task for one team member
Detours - a choice between two tasks designed for both team members that are equally challenging in different ways
Be sure to be as detailed as possible including locations, materials needed, etc. and to include your name and contact information. The deadline to submit your task is Friday, May 16!

Q. What is the Guamazing Race?
A. The Guamazing Race is loosely modeled after CBS's popular reality television series, "Amazing Race". It is a challenging obstacle course which spans the island of Guam and consists of physical and mental tasks.
Q. How old do I have to be to participate?
A. You must be 18 years of age or older.
Q. What are the residency requirements to participate?
A. You must have been a resident of Guam for at least the past 3 [three] months to the day of your application submission.
Q. When will the race take place?
A. The Guamazing Race will take place over a period of 13 hours on Saturday, May 31, 2008.
Q. Where will the race take place?
A. The race will span Guam.
Q. Will the race be broken up into different legs?
A. The race is loosely modeled after "The Amazing Race". There will be mandatory rest periods.
Q. How far is the race?
A. The race is 55+ miles. Not for the fainthearted, approximately half of the race will be on foot and the other half will be assisted.
Q. Will part of the race take place in water?
A. It is advisable that at least one teammate be able to swim.
Q. Will there be refreshments provided?
A. There will be mandatory 15-minute rest stops after every race leg where refreshments [fruits, water, etc.] will be provided. Water will also be provided during.
Q. Will my teammate or I be able to carry my cell phone or any other communication device with me during the race?
A. All cell phones and any other other communication devices will be sequestered the evening before and during the race.
Q. What kind of condition should my teammate and I be in to participate in the Guamazing Race?
A. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health. If chosen to participate, it is mandatory to sign a release and waiver where you will assume the risk of injury and/or damage to yourself by competing in the race. If chosen, you and your teammate may be required to provide a physical clearance from your doctor[s].
Q. I would like to submit an application but my employer is a Sponsor of the Guamazing Race. May I still participate?
A. Employees of KUAM, their immediate families and/or member in their households [mother, father, sister[s], brother[s], grandmother, grandfather, spouse] are ineligible to audition or compete in the Guamazing Race. Employees of sponsor companies are also ineligible to participate--to date "Guamazing Race" sponsors include GuamCell Communications, Miller Lite, Skydive Guam, and Calvo's Insurance. Should your company sign on as a sponsor anytime before May 31, 2008, your application will be deemed ineligible.
