Presidential influence is now on Guam
I wonder who has been talking about Guam over the past few weeks about our island and tyhe possibility of the federal government securing rights to all the resources around and under the island. I am not sure how all of this will play out but now it seems that he is looking to prevent other nations and the those on Guam from hitting the waters around the island for many years to come. I think there is beginning to become more greedy people interested in Guam the more they discover mineral deposits around the island. I think the Ptresident has more than indicayed that Guam is truly a valuable asset inside of the US sphere of influence. Felix Aguon is a KUAM Radio Personality and guest blogger |

I think “Greed” is within the Island’s Government and its Leaders overall. They have not shown any signs of responsible leadership for years. It’s all about them and securing “Their” future. It’s good that at least some ones looking at Guam. If Guam can’t be seen and helped from the inside. Then maybe the outside can. Guam Islanders have got to open up to outside opportunities for help. Our Island is in desperate need of help. Maybe Presidential help is needed to clean and rid the corrupted leaders and restore our Island and wealth of our people. Corruption is everywhere within Guam’s leaders. People don’t get their tax refunds because there is no money. When Revenue & Tax finally have they money to pay the locals, their refund get Levied one way or another for some odd reason. The President tries to give people a break and gives stimulus rebates. Revenue & Tax levied that too. “What is up with that” Man! Give the people a break. There should be a rule or limit to what can be levied. There is always a legit reason why people fall behind and unable to pay their debts. Even the Government has mega debts up the wall. But do they pay a penalty? I don’t think so… The people of Guam deserve a break.
The Island continues to suffer on a daily basis. Give a chance for opportunity and see what they have to offer. What do we have to loose?
"tyhe possibility of the federal government securing rights to all the resources around and under the island." Exactly what resources are we talking about? Coconut crabs? Boonie dogs? Strippers? Somehow I don't think that the federal government is the least bit interested in those "resources". Guam is a strategic location, and nothing more.
Hafa, dude.
