Responding to concerns nursing staff at the Guam Memorial Hospital have regarding working with a recently-hired anesthesiologist who was tried for allegations of criminal sexual conduct for sexually assaulting a patient who was under anesthesia in Rhode Island, Guam Board of Medical Examiners chairperson Dr. Ricardo Eusebio responds stating the anesthesiologist recently hired by GMH was found not guilty by a court of law.
Eusebio says the GBME voted unanimously to approve the individual's medical license and allegations being made by GMH staffers are absolutely false. "He was not found to be guilty," Dr. Eusebio confirmed, "He has no criminal record." He also said, "We reviewed a psychological assessment of this physician and this physician was found in its psychological assessment, not to be crazy not to have criminal sexual deviant personality."
The GBME contends that the anesthesiologist in question is fit to work at the hospital.
Meanwhile a number of GMH nurses are requesting the Guam Federation of Teachers union look into the matter.
