Jason Asprer pleaded not guilty to charges of negligent homicide and child abuse as third degree felonies this morning in front of Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Barrett Anderson. Asperer was the driver of a bobcat vehicle when his two and a half year old godson fell off and died.
He and the boy's father were arrested earlier this month in connection with the toddler's death. Asperer has been released on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to be back in court on December 29 for a criminal trial setting.
