Despite Guam residents not being able to have a direct vote in choosing their president, the Guam Election Commission nonetheless included a straw poll about the Decision 2008 presidential race. With Guam being the United States' westernmost territory, local residents were given the chance to demonstrate to their countrymen not only that they value the opportunity to voice their opinion on the candidates - they passionately care about choosing their nation's next commander-in-chief.
During tonight's ballot tallying by the GEC, as of 2am Chamorro Standard Time time, the straw poll indicated a formidable lead for Barack Obama, by nearly a 2-to-1 margin.
