"Maybe I can lend some of my administrative management talents, but that's something for the future."
The top vote getter in the Decision 2008 General Election senatorial race was Republican incumbent Eddie Calvo, who thanked the people of Guam for their support, adding that whoever is the majority in the 30th, both Democrats and Republicans must work together to make the island reach its full potential. Spending the last decade in the legislature, Senator Calvo delicately hinted of a bid for higher office in 2010.
Calvo told KUAM News, "This will be my last term as a senator, but I do hope to continue to serve the people of Guam in elected office, but in other areas. Maybe I can lend some of my administrative management talents, but again that's something for the future. I'm going to focus right now on the Legislature and do the best job I can. But then, of course, after this 30th Guam Legislature I look forward to serving the people of Guam in other form on another basis."
