Kennedy High School.     AG's petition on gambling devices to be heard in August The Attorney General's effort to rid the island of gambling machines pursuant to Guam law was the topic of discussion during a hearing this afternoon before Superior Court Pro-tem Judge Robert Klitzkie, but the AG's efforts will have to wait until next month. After hearing from both attorneys for Rev and Tax, along with the Lt.     Massive search continues for B52 crew members What was to be a day celebrating the 64th anniversary of the liberation of Guam, for the military, Monday turned out to be filled with prayer and mourning for the crew of the B-52 that was lost at sea. While the Air Force has released few details of the B-52 Bomber crash that happened about 25 nautical miles northwest of Guam around 9:45 Monday morning.     Search and Rescue operation underway for down military aircraft An extensive search and rescue operation is underway 25 nautical miles Northwest of Guam for six crew members who were on board a B52 military aircraft. According to the Federal Aviation Administration Guam Office's Terry Pyle, the B52 left Andersen Air Force Base at 9am. Working as a writer/editor on the monthly Guam Echo under the leadership of the Institute's director, John Collier, Cogan witnessed and recorded the battle fought at the very top between Collier (assisted by former Secretary of the Interior Harry L. Ickes) and Navy Secretary James V. Forrestal as the people of Guam petitioned the U.S. Congress for civilian government under a constitution.     A grateful island welcomes home fallen soldiers A planeside ceremony for 28-year-old U.S. Army Specialist Samson Mora from Dededo was held this afternoon after his remains arrived on island. Kennedy High School students still have no final answer as to where they will be attending classes next year. Stakeholders rallied together last night during a special meeting held at Chief Brodie Elementary School.     Memorial held for Fena Cave massacre A memorial ceremony was held today for the dozens of Guam natives who died during World War II at the Fena Caves. Young men and women from Agat and Sumay were forced by Japanese soldiers into the caves, eventually being attacked with bayonets, grenades and guns.     Rev & Tax opposes writ hearing in gambling case While Superior Court Pro-tem Judge Robert Klitzkie scheduled a hearing next week on the Attorney General's Writ of Mandate against Rev and Tax and Acting Governor Mike Cruz, to enforce Guam's laws against gambling devices, there's yet another twist in the ongoing gambling saga.
