GTA files restraining order against GSA

Guam - GTA TeleGuam filed a temporary restraining order against the General Services Agency.  The former Guam Telephone Authority is appealing a bid for digital phone services for the Guam Census Bureau.  While Pacific DataSystems was awarded the bid for phone services, GTA contends that the bid specified digital phones, but PDS is using analog phones.

GTA is now asking the Superior Court of Guam to put an immediate stop to the current contract and wants the court to review whether the phone services should be out for re-bid or awarded to GTA as the only responsive bidder.  A hearing is scheduled for ten o'clock tomorrow morning before Judge Elizabeth Barrett Andersen.
