Guam - With the lack of vehicles at various Government of Guam agencies, General Service Agency Chief Procurement Officer Claudia Acfalle says they will be distributing nearly 40 used vehicles throughout GovGuam in the next week.
Acfalle says she is just waiting on the final paperwork from their federal counterparts, as well as totaling the final costs for the vehicles. "Right now, several departments have already submitted their request, in other words their funding documents. We're just processing that. Now we're just waiting for the ownership to be sent in by the federal government and we're still working on that. We hope to receive those this week so we can issue it out to the departments such as GPD and DOC," she explained.
As we reported, the vehicles have been staged at the Piti facility for the past few months as the feds had planned to auction them out. However, Acfalle said she was able to persuade the feds to allow GovGuam priority at obtaining them.
