Guam - Plans have been finalized for a delegation from Japan that will be arriving to Guam for a fact-finding mission. Japan Consulate Office Spokesperson Joe Tenorio confirms a delegation of 23 Diet members will be arriving on five separate flights tonight. The trip will be brief.
Tenorio says they are scheduled to tour the island's military bases and meet with Governor Felix Camacho tomorrow afternoon. The delegation will be lead by Japan's Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yorihisa Matsuno. Tenorio confirms the group is the actual committee that was formed in the Japan government to consider alternative sites for the Futenma Replacement Facility.
The delegation leaves tomorrow at five o'clock in the afternoon.
