GW Gym hosted the latest high school wrestling match, where the Notre Dame Royals took on the Guam High Panthers. In the 112-lb. division, Christina Tenerio took on Panther's Emily Duenas. After a stalemate 1st round, Duenas found herself at the tail end of a half nelson, as Tenerio executed the takedown as she eventually got the win via pin 1 minute into the 2nd round.

Shirae Fejeran and Britney Main took to the mat in the 119-lb. weight class.

Fejeran wasted no time as she quickly took Main to the mat off a single leg takedown. Main soon found herself fighting for position as Fejeran progressed forward, looking for the fast pin. Fejeran would wind up getting the win with 20 seconds into the 1st round via pin.

In the Boys Division, Guam High turned the tide around as Theatris Eaton defeated Royal's Ryan Cepeda. Eaton used his technique along with his strength to control Cepeda, who desperately fought for position. Eaton would end up subduing Cepeda to a half nelson into a crucifix as he powered his way to the easy victory via pin with 30 seconds left into the 1st round.

In the battle of the big boys, Michael Moser continued his dominance as one of the top heavy weights in the league, defeating ND's Nick Edquilane. After a struggle on the ground, both wrestlers took their game to the top, but it was the wrong idea for Edquilane who quickly found himself on the bottom, as Moser executed the bear hug from the top, taking the top position and getting the victory, via pin with a minute into the 1st round.

And in the most exciting match of the day, Anthony Cruz came away with win over ND's James Nededog. After 3 hard rounds of technical wrestling, it came down to, who wanted it more. With the score tied at 11points apiece, Cruz executed the double leg takedown, taking Nededog to the mat where he powered his way to the north and south position. Cruz would wind up getting the win via pin with .5 seconds left into the last round as he helped Guam High take the 72-12 win in the boys division.
