While Supertyphoon Nida is moving away from our area, the National Weather Service warns residents that a High Surf Advisory remains in effect. Meteorologist Dan Mundell says the advisory is for the west side of the island.
Mundell urges all residents to stay out of the water as surfs are expected to be between 9' to 15' high. He adds that the island can expect to see more windy and rainy weather during the holidays. "It's still storm season, so people should be aware of tropical developments that are out in our region. And just be ready, have your supplies stocked up so you don't have to go to the store last minute," he explained.
