Guam Guardsmen to assist Afghan army, police

A sendoff ceremony was held this morning at the Guam National Guard Readiness Center for fifteen soldiers with the Embedded Training Team that will be deployed to Afghanistan as part of the 86th Brigade Combat Team of the Vermont Army National Guard.  The team will leave next week to complete post-mobilization training at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

The soldiers will assist in mentoring the Afghan National Army and National Police.
